• The water activity of this product is <0.05% which does not support the growth of pathogenic microorganism. Product is transferred to storage tanks through closed pipes and is kept in closed tanks. Product is heated to >160°F at some point in the process which makes survival of pathogens not likely to occur.

CONSIDERATIONS when Tallow is used in soap making:

• since Tallow is so gentle consider adding another oil that enhances the cleansing ability of the soap (but remember that the vegetable oils result in reduced whiteness of the Tallow bar of soap to yellowish), use an oil that compliments the properties of Tallow
• since Tallow is naturally so white it is then easy to incorporate color
